Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force for PlayStation 2 ReviewSubmitted by Frank Tricarico The successful PC game Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force has been released for the Playstation 2 gaming console. StoryJust like its PC counterpart you are Ensign Munro on the Starship: Voyager. You are a member of the newly created Hazard Team and are sent on dangerous missions after Voyager has been mysteriously transported into an area of subspace. Its up to you and the hazard team to help return Voyager and its crew to real space before its too late. GraphicsUsing the Quake 3 Graphics engine and the PS2's graphic capabilities, Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force has great first person graphics and details. Depending on your PC you may notice a slight difference with sharpness but thats about it. Graphics are beautifully rendered and really set the stage for Star Trek fans. SoundGreat sound from the Playstation 2 and the original Star Trek sounds from the series and Voice talents from the cast, including Jeri Ryan as Seven Of Nine. The game was delayed a month to put in the last minute voice overs and pacthed graphics. GameplayThere are over 30 intense Single Player missions and 2 player multiplayer option 1-4( Multitap ). The gameplay is the sae as the PC except you cannot play against computer AI opponents in multiplayer, only other friends. ControlsHard to get used to, but very innovative when you get used to them. You can also purchase the PS2 Keyboard and Mouse to feel right a home with PC controls. Overall: 95 ( A+ )If you have the PC version and you have PS2, buy this game. |
